Class Information
BT
Combo (Ballet/Tap)
This
combination class provides basic principles in ballet & tap
to children ages 3 to 7. Dancers will learn ballet positions,
ballet terminology, and elementary ballet movement such as
plies, tendus, bourres, and passes. Students will learn simple
tap steps such as shuffles and shuffle ball change.
BT Combo II
Class that moves faster than a
regular ballet and tap class.
This class is designed for the young dancer who learns
quickly and has at least one year of experience.
Ballet
TD
offers a classical ballet program to students 7 years and older.
Dancers will learn ballet technique through barre and center
work. Combinations will become progressively more complicated as
the dancer excels. Students
who are ready for pointe work will be notified by the
instructor.
Pointe
This class is by invitation only. New
students wishing to take this class will be evaluated by their
instructor. Students
are required to take at least one other ballet class in addition
to the pointe class, must be at least 12 years old and have
had a minimum of one year experience in a level III class or
higher.
Tap
Theater and Rhythm tap classes are offered to tappers of all
ages and levels starting at 7 years old.
Jazz
TD offers a variety of jazz styles, from Jazz Funk to the
unique style of Bob Fosse.
Hip
Hop
An urban dance style involving quick, sharp moves and
athletic-type stunts.
Contemporary
A
combination of ballet and jazz technique. It is more
expressive in nature and relates to the freedom of the
individual dancer.
Leaps
and Turns
This
specialty class concentrates primarily on turning technique to
improve turns such as pirouettes, attitude turns, and fouettes.
The class will also focus on improving jumps and leaps
including jetes, Russians, and switch leaps.
Students are required to have had at least 2 years
of Jazz class.
Musical
Theater
This class
combines jazz technique and steps with classic Broadway musical
scores. An emphasis is placed on performance, dance
character, and confidence on stage. Musical styles will
range from current Broadway hits to classic Bob Fosse.
FitFusion
This class
incorporates a variety of lively cardio formats followed by
muscle conditioning and core work utilizing stability balls,
bands, dumbbells, and body bars. The class alternates
between high/low sports intervals, plyometrics, and free weight
resistance work. Indoor/outdoor weather permitting.
Class ends with abdominal work, stretching and yoga
movements. All levels welcome for an extraordinary total
body workout!
Dress
Code
This
dress code will be strictly enforced. If a student is not
dressed appropriately, the instructor has the right to ask them
to sit and observe class.

Hair must be secured away from face and off the neck.

No jewelry is allowed to be worn during class (stud earrings are ok).

Please do not allow your dancer to wear dance shoes outside of the studio.

No barefooted dancers unless the
instructor/choreographer requires it.
