Mia Blitz is a fourth-year BFA in Dance major also pursuing a Pre-Health Professions Certificate and Law, Justice, and Society minor at the University of Texas at Austin. She grew up in Long Island, New York, and attended Fiorello H. LaGuardia Arts High School while also training in a variety of styles at Kanyok Arts Initiative. She values a balance of both commercial and concert dance, which stems from her eclectic education in ballet, modern, contemporary, lyrical, jazz, hip hop, musical theater, and tap throughout her career. Mia has worked with numerous prestigious choreographers, some of which include Marinda Davis, Tyler Hanes, and Jennifer Archibald. Her career is currently concentrated in performance, as she enjoys using her artistry and technical proficiency to execute repertory and act as a vessel for choreographers. Mia is continuing her training at UT Austin to polish her technical and performance skills with aspirations of becoming a professional dancer. In the future, Mia would either love to continue to pursue a performance career on Broadway, have the opportunity to go on tour with an artist, or travel with a modern dance company.
